From idea to keys: 7 steps with REEDOME

Building a house looks to many people like a long and confusing road: surveyors, architects, permits, contractors, suppliers. REEDOME has laid that road out as seven clear steps, and we walk them with you. Here is what each one looks like: what you do, what we do and what you have at the end of the step.

1. The dream

You: fill in a short questionnaire and tell us how you want to live: who will live in the dome, how many bedrooms you need, whether you have a plot and what budget you are comfortable with.

We: review your answers and prepare for our conversation, so we don't start from zero.

Result: it is clear what you need, and we can talk in concrete terms.

2. Conversation

You: meet us in person or online and ask your questions.

We: show you examples of domes and discuss size, structure, timing and budget. We tell you honestly if a dome is not right for your situation.

Result: a preliminary decision and a plan for the next step.

3. The plot

You: share the details of your plot, or tell us what kind of plot you are looking for.

We: arrange the survey and assess what may be built on the plot: land use, buildable area, distances, access and utilities. If you don't have a plot yet, we help you assess the options.

Result: you know a dome can be built on this plot, and on what terms.

4. Design

You: shape your home together with the architect: the layout, window positions, the interior.

We: provide the architect, prepare the project and a detailed estimate. Every decision is agreed with you.

Result: a project, an interior direction and a clear price.

5. Permits

You: sign the documents that are needed.

We: prepare the documentation required for the building permit, submit it and follow the process until the permit is granted.

Result: you have permission to build.

6. Construction

You: watch your house take shape and make decisions about finishes.

We: build the foundation, the dome structure, the reed roof, the building services and the finishes, and keep you informed throughout.

Result: a finished dome that matches the project and energy class A++.

7. The keys

You: inspect the house and move in.

We: hand over the keys, documents, warranties and a maintenance plan for the reed roof. We stay within reach after you move in.

Result: you are living in your dome.
